After the Flathead, Fords next generation of V8’s was the Y-Block, with increased block strength these cast iron blocks were ready for more power. Hot-Rodders quickly answered and started upgrading. Now you can add our upgraded Hot-Rod Y-Block to your next build. Featuring either 3 or 6 Stromberg carbs, finned trim everywhere and now includes both Flamethrower style headers for those open fender builds or our NEW Fenton style short headers.
High detail engine kit includes 42 pieces for 3 carb version or 52 pieces for 6 carb version. Common parts include (Engine block, Finned oil pan, Cylinder heads x2, finned stock styled valve covers x2, Offenhauser valve covers x2, finned valve covers x2, Flamethrower headers with open ends x2, Fenton style shorty headers x2, timing cover, water pump, fuel pump, canister oil filter, generator, generator bracket, starter, cross bolt ignition coil, solid center distributor, hollow center distributor, drilled distributor, turned exhaust tips x2, sliced exhaust tips x2, pulleys with attached belt)
3 carb version includes all common parts plus ( 3x2 intake manifold, finned valley cover with oil fill tube, 3 pack Stromberg carbs with fuel log and gauge, small round finned air filters x3, finned Harrison style air inlets x3)
6 carb version includes all common parts plus (6x2 intake manifold, finned valley cover with NO oil fill tube, hard hat style air cleaners x6, small round finned air filters x6, frog mouth air scoops x6, 3 pack Stromberg carbs with attached fuel line x2)
Hollowed and drilled distributors provided along with pre-drilled ignition coil and cylinder heads for ease of wiring. Fitment and assembly required, sanding and finishing required. Adapting to kit being used required.
