



































Buick Nailhead Stock Engine Kit
Want to “nail” your next classic Buick build? Our bone stock Buick “Nailhead” will do just that for you with its incredible detail. The Buick Fireball V8, more commonly known as the Nailhead, was in production from 1953 to 1966. The first generation of Nailheads were to replace Buick’s dated Straight-8 design and provide a more compact and powerful motor. Opting for smoothness over power, Buick needed the Nailhead to drive their Dynaflow 2-speed automatic transmission. Today, Nailheads remain a popular choice for hot rodders for their power and unique look and is now available for your next scale build here at VCG Resins by Reese and as always, with options!
Engine kit includes 37 pieces total ( Block, cylinder heads x2, oil pan, stock early smooth valve covers x2, stock later style smooth valve covers x2, stock “Firing Order” valve covers x2, valley cover, valley cover with oil fill tube, stock 2 barrel intake manifold, lower bellhousing, stock exhaust manifolds x2, timing cover, water crossover housing, starter, generator with bracket, oil filter adaptor, oil filter canister, fuel pump/filter, Carter WGD 2 barrel carburetor, stock snorkle air cleaner, side bracket ignition coil, soild center distributor, holow center distributor, drilled distributor, oil filler/breather caps x3, pulleys with attached belt, crankshaft damper. 3 piece DynaFlow 2 speed automatic transmission (Bellhousing, transmission, oil pan)
Cylinder heads, ignition coil, hollow and drilled distributors ready to wire with “pre-drilled” holes
Comes in raw resin,some sanding, finishing and assembly required ( Instructions provided under “Instructions tab” on home page) as well as paint and adapting to kit being used. Engine is not designed to fit one particular kit, some modifications and scratch building may be required for fitment
